Barry M: Matte Me Up

I've always been a massive fan of Barry M nail polishes, with the Gelly range being my favourite. When I spotted they were releasing these Matte Me Up matte liquid lip paints, I knew I needed to try them out.

Superdrug had an amazing introductory offer on these single Matte Me Up's when they first came out (all five for £15 - normally £4.99 each), plus when you spent over £8.00 at the time, you also received a free Chisel Cheeks contour kit. I thought that was a fab deal!

Barry M also have three limited edition lip kits (£6.99 each), which include three different shades of the Matte Me Up's plus a matching lip liner. All three look to be amazing shades also.

The packaging: These liquid lip paints have simple but effective packaging. The matte black lid and writing so far hasn't worn away at all, I sometimes find certain brands do do that, which annoys me.

The shades: I think these shades are amazing and definitely something for everyone. Im a massive nude shade lover, so I'm pleased with the two in this range, one is more of a pink toned nude and the other more of a peach toned nude. But there is a bright pink shade option, a red and a beautiful deep purple shade also.

Which would you go for?

The results: I adore the look a liquid lipstick gives, a fuller matte look lip. These don't disappoint. They have a regular, easy to apply doe foot applicator, making it quick to get the perfect pout.
The Matte Me Up's last amazingly well on the lips in the day, with just a need for touch ups in the centre of the lips when having had food or drink (as it can ever so slightly fade). Overall though I'm super impressed with these newbies from Barry M, and definitely want to pick up the lip kits.

I love the look of Minimalist. I wish I had known they were on offer! I keep going to buy the lip kits but the packaging is always damaged in my local branch.
