Cohorted Beauty Box

This is my second Cohorted Beauty box after purchasing last months, I brought them as there was such a demand for the first few having such amazing brands into them. Have you managed to get any yet? So they seem to be a little more easier to get the last couple of months but I'm not sure it's for the best!

You can read my thoughts on my last box here, this box wasn't anymore impressive either I'm afraid. When I opened the box there wasn't a product I was excited about at all. In previous boxes I had seen some of my favourite brands of Urban Decay and Too Faced cosmetics. As this beauty box is rather few more pennies than others I receive, it's £22.49 all in with delivery I wasn't all that excited. I feel I should be honest in my reviews with my feelings, there is no point in me trying to sound excited if I am not. This being said cohorted have had really good customer service and I'm happy with them for that.

The first thing I noticed out the box as it was the biggest was the Cargo eyeshadow quad, I only like two of the shades when used on the eyes and swatched here. But they aren't all that unusual and I definitely have shadows I would pick over these each day, the cargo shadows also kick up a lot of fallout I found when trying these. The good thing about it is the size of the pans, they would last you a good while if you were to use it. RRP £10.

Next product was more eyeshadows, which if both were good I would be excited about as I'm a totally eyeshadow junkie. This time it was Laura Geller which isn't the cheapest of brands, this duo retails for £15 so my in box card tells me. But I defiantly wouldn't be impressed if I paid that much for it. The colours were extremely chalky I found, although the packaging with shadow print is pretty.

I love to see they included a beauty tool in a box, I do like seeing slightly different products in boxes. This bare minerals soft focus brush is short so is perfect for carrying around in handbags or makeup bags on the go. Personally I love my Real Techniques brushes and don't use many other brushes. I would love to know if you have any makeup brush recommendations. I think the Spectrum collection brushes are super pretty and can't wait to see them in real life at the Clothes Show this year. This little brush has an RRP of £20!

At first this was a a product I thought I might get some use out of, I do love products with salicylic acid as its good for my oily skin. But so many people have told me this is an old discontinued product that I'm worried about using it as my skin as I have been reacting slightly easier recently as I have been trying so many new items. If anyone has any more information please do let me know in the comments section below. This has an RRP of £15.

Lastly was a deluxe Molten Brown body cream in Yuan Zhi with RRP of £6. This is a product that once tried I was convinced was an old product that had been sitting around a while, this didn't react well on the body areas applied. So I did a quick email and found out I was right, and the lovely Molten Brown kindly sent me the replacement product which was super kind of them to do. I would love if anyone has tried any other Molten Brown products to know your thoughts as its a brand I hadn't tried before until now.

So the Cohorted beauty box total for August States £66 which would be fab if it wasn't older products and things that I'm not necessarily going to use. I think beauty boxes are slightly risky gambles but at least when you get the Birchbox and Glossybox they are a cheaper gamble and I generally have always been happy with them. Even though this is negative to the Beauty Box itself I think Cohorted have been amazing and it hasn't put me off ordering from them in the future, but I'm not sure I understand how there cohorts work! Please let me know if you do. I haven't ordered the next Cohorted Beauty Box but my friends have so watch it be a good one next month! Haha

Thanks for stopping by JinksyBeauty today. If this is your first time I'm not normally this negative !!! Haha. Karen x JinksyBeauty x
