August Birchbox

Exciting times when Birchbox comes to my door especially when it has The Balm Cosmetics inside! The theme of this months box is #BEAUTYJUNKIE and we got our very own emoji stickers, which mine have been claimed by my daughter already. Birchbox is a fab way to try brands you haven't heard of and great brands you know, I was excited when I saw my box contained Lord & Berry and The Balm Cosmetics. Plus I'm rather liking the Rituals brand also. Good box!

So at first glance some great brands I know, I must admit I would rather see a brand that I know of in my box rather than something I haven't.  The outer box is pretty cute aswell with the matching emoji icons and amazing mint green/turquoise under box which is a perfect storage box.

Now for what's in my box, I will start off with my favourites from the box! The makeup!

The Balm Cosmetics: I've always wanted to try The Balm cosmetics Balm Desert which is a Bronzer and Blush all in one. I saw the amazing Youtuber Kathleen Lights use it in a tutorial and knew I needed it, so when I spotted it in the box I let out a little squeal. The sample is tiny but o so cute, I will probably use it as an eyeshadow to be honest because it's not the easiest to get a large brush in the pan. I placed a large Birchbox eshop order and have ordered the full size of this since. Can't wait for it to turn up.

Lord & Berry: my cute blush came in the shade Lotus which is a deep reddy brown shade, more perfect for the autumn winter seasons I feel. But gorgeous and extremely pigmented. Perfect size for travelling if you don't want to pack full size makeup products.

I loved my L. Erickson grab & go ponytail holder as my extra beauty bonus, really useful extra in my box. Super glad I got it, it's lovely and chunky so makes my ponytail look extra big and sit lovely. The best thing about this bobble is it didn't pull or snag on my fragile hair.

Kebelo: lovely size clarifying shampoo, should get a fair few uses out of this. As I use many products in my hair it's essential that I use a clarifying shampoo once in a while to remove any build up, giving my hair & scalp a detox. It doesn't have any particular smell to it, just an essential to cleanse and refresh.

BioNike: a small cleansing water which is fragrance free so suitable for sensitive skin types. I do like to use a cleansing water to remove the initial lot of makeup from my face of a nighttime and in the morning to refresh my face.

Rituals: Rice scrub body scrub. This has an amazingly gorgeous fresh scent to it, much like what you would expect at a spa. Will definitely be using this, I would love to try the Rituals foam shower gel as I believe that is a great luxury product.

In our box we have an insight into the next box for September which states it's going to be a very special birthday celebration box. We will also be getting to choose between two designed boxes to receive. I love receiving emails from Birchbox when we get to pick something to do with our box. If you would like to join Birchbox to get the next exciting box then please Click here, from doing so you and I will gain an extra 50 Birchbox points to use in the eshop worth £5. I adore the Birchbox points and think it sets Birchbox above all the other boxes as you can very quickly gain enough points for luxury items.
