May Favourites

May has been filled with trying out new products but some have been used way more than others, here I'm going to share with you my best May favourites. Feel free to share yours in the comments section at the end, I would love to hear from you with your favourites or suggestions for me to try.

Nip+Fab products have really impressed me lately, fantastic skincare that you can really feel and see is doing something for your skin. They are products that I had always seen around but never tried till a couple of months ago. I spotted some of the Nip+Fab Beesting products on half price at Tesco on a shopping trip and decided to give them a go, I'm so glad I did. Following the suggestion of trying it on a small area first I did so as you never know if you are going to be allergic to a product so would be silly to put it all over your face without knowing. After no reaction on my tested area the next night I applied this Beesting Fix Cream Deluxe all over my face! Wow! When I woke up in the morning my skin felt smooth, plumped and generally amazing. I have never ever had that great of a feeling on my skin from any other product as quickly as I did with this. Most skincare you could say yeah feels nice or improves skin after so long of using but this just was something extremely special and I noticed a difference straight away. I have the Beesting Mask which is also a lovely product and have just started to use the Glycolic Fix range, so follow me to see what I think of that in future blogs.

Two eye products I have used constantly since trying them are the Maxfactor excess shimmer eye mousse in Bronze and the fabulous Too Faced better than sex mascara. Super impressed with both of these! My excess shimmer product has been used as an all over the eye colour when I'm in a rush getting ready, super easy to blend and looks great on its own. I have also used this Bronze shade as my base for most eye looks that I have done recently, it creates a perfect colour and hides any veiny eyelids or imperfections for anyone that has them.

The Better than Sex mascara is now my number one mascara after trying it in one of my Beauty Boxes, loving it. I had always heard great things but I had never tried it for myself til recently! From the first use I knew it was a winner, super quick for creating volume and length, brush looked slightly scary at first but it's a great brush for grabbing all my lashes. Would definitely purchase again when I have got through my twenty mascara or so awaiting use, just wish Too Faced was easier to get hold of in the UK.

I own rather a lot of primers after trying so many to try and combat my oily skin, Benefit Porefessional has been a great primer. You only need a tiny amount and thats good as I only have tiny samples but they are lasting well. It's flesh coloured consistency and smooths onto the face with ease and literally makes the skin perfect condition for a makeup base. I don't really have a problem with large pores which is mainly what this primer is used for but it just creates such a silky smooth feeling to the skin and creates better condition for the foundation to apply to, so for that reason I have been using it a lot.

After hearing the Makeup Revolution Radiance Palette was a dupe for the hourglass I thought I would give it a try. It's the type of product you need to see in person on your face to get the real feel for what it does, the swatches don't really do it justice at all. It reflects the light beautifully and helps to give a more glowing blurred look to the face. I love to apply this lightly under my eyes and heavy across the top of my cheek bone and on top of my blusher. It has a beautiful pigment to it so I often will grab a little bit on my finger for the inner corner of my eye to brighten and highlight the area for an extra pop.

As your can see my Sleek face form palette in Fair has been well loved and used, I adore Sleek Cosmetics and this has to be one of my favourite products. When I'm in a rush this is so quick and simple having contour, highlight and blush all in one and I use my Real Techniques contour brush on all three for added quickness. The contour shade has no shimmer in, the highlight shade is full of light reflecting particles and the blush (rose gold) shade is beautiful with gold shimmer throughtout. ( I have a separate blog on my Sleek blushes with swatches.)

That completes the products I used most in May, please share your favourites in the comments.
Thanks so much for reading, speak soon. Karen x JinksyBeauty x
