Best Birchbox Yet: April 2015!

Aprils Birchbox has been the best one so far for me loving every single product that I received. The theme this month is Royal, all subscribers would get either a pink or a blue box in honour of the new royal baby due to arrive soon, colour indicating if its going to be a girl or boy. There is a rather exciting competition to pose with your box and list via social media, then depending on the sex of the baby depends who is entered in the competition to win a beauty bundle.

It started off amazing when I received an email that we got to pick a sample this month which I love, we got to choose from a Laura Mercier primer, mascara or eyeliner. I have been wanting to try the primer for a while so I picked that for this months box, but I wasn't expecting such a good sized sample being 30ml. The normal sized product you can buy is 50ml making the sample worth £17.40, which I think is amazing already well covering the cost of the box.

I had seen a small spoiler video which showed a few products people may receive this month and in it I saw the Lola nail polish which had three different shades. When I watched the video I saw the colour Born and was hoping that shade would be in my box and it was, it's a lovely beige nude with a slight shimmer and lavender tint to it. I'm super happy with this and have got it on right now, this product is worth £7.50 and is a Birchbox exclusive.

I was excited to see I had got the Liz Earle sample of the Hot cloth cleanser with muslin cloth in my box, it's a much raved about beauty must have so im excited to try it and see how it gets on with my oily skin. The ingredients sound amazing with Rosemary, Chamomile, cocoa butter and eucalyptus essential oil. This sized sample is worth £4.20.

I have recently had my hair cut so all into styling and looking after my hair, the Percy & Reed hair oil I received is to help volumising which is a strange idea for an oil. The directions state you can use the product from root to tip, which normally you would avoid the roots with an oil as would make the hair appear greasy. This is half the size you can normally buy making this sample worth £7.00, So I'm excited to see if this really does what it says on the bottle!

The Korres body milk has a beautiful fresh scent of pear, with ingredients such as almond oil and Shea butter you know it's going to impress. I love the lightweight feel of this body milk, sinks into my skin without any stickiness. Another beauty product im obsessed with at the minute is face masks, I was so glad I got the Befine Clay Mask as my beauty extra as im not keen on the normal food beauty bonus items. I have also seen others got vitamins in their boxes which I wouldn't have used as you need to use them for a longer period of time to see any results.

Box total value for this month worked out to be approx £39.80! I was so happy with every single item I got in my box and certainly didn't have box envy looking at other peoples boxes looking through instagram pictures this month. Some months I will click on #birchboxuk and see what others received thinking 'o I would have prefered that' etc so first month im super thrilled with all my contents.
