Urban Decay: Naked On The Run!

So Debenhams did me over with their one day only deal, the Urban Decay Naked on the run palette was £25.90 on Friday! The palette is normally £37.00, so had a whooping 30% off it which is a fab deal for all the goodies you get in this Gorgous palette.

Super cute packaging with a uber cool design, the back shows you exactly what you get in your palette. A travel size Perversion mascara, mini 24/7 glide on eyeliner, full size Naked lipgloss, six eyeshadows with one being rather large, bronzer and blush. All these come in a lovely metal rose gold cool case.

When I saw this was on offer it wasn't something I was dying to get but I then watched some Youtubers videos and instantly said 'I need this in my life.' The obvious aim for this palette is it's great for travel as it has so many great products compactly all in one palette, which I actually don't travel a lot but maybe I should just to use it!!! Haha

I tried out the mascara this morning and was pleasantly surprised, a massive plus point is my eyes haven't felt irratated or runny which some items of makeup have made them do so recently. The perversion mascara has a thick wand that is easy to apply and hasn't smudged all day or felt too hard on my lashes which I tend to find my Benefit Rollerlash does. Even though I love my Rollerlash I really struggle getting it off unless I'm using my Super Facialist Vitamin C oil. I need to find a makeup remover that doesn't involve water for ease of use at night time that gets the Benefit masacaras off, suggestions would be greatly appreciated in the comments please. :)

The 24/7 glide on eyeliner in the shade stag, which is a deep brown shade. I used this on my waterline and slightly underneath and it has lasted really well, plus underneath my lash line hasn't budged all day whereas my waterline has disappeared but would have been easy to redo.

One if the items I was least exciting about getting in the palette was the Naked lipgloss, but since trying it I rather like it. It's a full size item which normally retails at £14.50 but this shade Sesso is exclusive to this set. My lips have been sore lately with all this lovely strange weather the UK has been having and when I applied this they instantly felt relived and moisturised, the colour is a definate your lips but better colour with a slight hint of sparkle.

On to the amazing eyeshadows, when I swatched these I was so surprised at the glitter and colour pay off even though I own the Naked one and two palettes. These shades are exclusive and new to this palette so you haven't got to worry if you think they may have doubled up from any the Naked palettes.
Swatched from left to right, with the shade names being dive, fix, resist, dare and stun. With fix and dare being the matte brown shades from this palette.

There is intense glitter when you swatch these and I wanted to show this so took the first fews pictures in sunlight to show it off. The shimmer doesn't come off as much when applied to the lids which I would have liked it too but understand most people wouldn't. My favourite shade is the far right a bronze glitzy shade called Stun. The palette has a large eyeshadow in the shade 50/50 which is a beautiful highlighting or all over lid shade, which has a lovely shimmer throughout. Swatched in the middle of the blush and eyeshadows below here.

On to the bronzer and brush in the palette, which I don't believe will be for everyone but I like them so I'm happy with them. The bronzer is slightly orange in shading and the blush is a bright bright pink shade that you only need the tiniest amount in the brush as with the bronzer, they are extremely pigmented! The swatches were done with my finger and would come across a lot differently on a brush on the face so you haven't got to worry about me going around looking like an orange clown, even though I do wear a lot of makeup on a daily basis. They will both definitely last along time, I couldn't see anyone hitting pan on them for a long while.

So here below is my whole arm swatched from left to right, bronzer, blush, 50/50 eyeshadow then the other five eyeshadows. I'm so happy with the quality in this on the run palette as usual from Urban Decay never disappointing.

What's your favourite Urban Decay products, did you picked this bargain up on Debenhams Friday one day sale or any other exciting beauty purchases?

Sleek lipsticks

I love all things Sleek, such an impressive drugstore brand. One thing I had never tried from them is their lipsticks, now I have three of their True Colour Lipsticks! I was really wanting the shade Liquear from looking at Google images of swatches but everywhere seems to be sold out, I would love to try that shade. The shades I picked are Naked, Barely there and Papaya Punch, two sheen formulas and one matte.

The packaging is slightly odd as is an oval shape with a extremely markable black textured look to them, I definitely would have prefered a different more attractive shape and feel to these lipsticks. The actual lipstick and formulas themselves are lovely, and at £4.99 each I think they are a bargain buy, especially when on 3 for 2!

On the lips the sheen formulas took a few swipes to get the true colour but once on looked lovely and rather moisturising aswell, but my favourite I think has to be the matte formulas. The Papaya punch which is my matte shade had great staying power and not drying on the lips in the slightest.

Have you tried out any Sleek lipsticks? Which are your favourite lipstick brands?

Please see my new blogpost on the Sleek Del Mar 2 eyeshadow palette which is perfect for spring, search through blog posts pages on the right to find it! Thanks for reading! Karen x

Latest in Beauty: Glamour beauty box!

The Glamour Spring Beauty Edit box from is such a fab deal, not only do you get the contents of this box you also get 12 months printed subscription to Glamour magazine. This box has a total value of £99 for the price of £16.99 including all your magazines delivered straight to your door.

You basically know with this box what you are buying before it arrives but some of the products come in slightly different variations of colour and it contains eight amazing beauty products.

I was in need of a new eyebrow kit and had heard great reviews about the one that is included in this box, so I was happy to get that in this exciting Beauty box. Having now tried it out its my new go to eyebrow palette, really easy to use. I apply the wax first to get the shape for my eyebrows and then add the shade depending if I'm having a lazy day or going out to which depth of colour I choose.

I was so excited to get the new Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy nail polish and top coat, I was secretly hoping for the turquoise but the coral shade 'pocket aces' that I received is still nice. I have to say I am super impressed with the top coat from this set, I have been using it over other nail polish and have never had my nails last this long before without chipping.

Rimmel have a new lipgloss out called Oh My Gloss, I received a shade 520 Rebel Red which is a Sparkley red. I have since brought one in the shade 130 Purrr... Glossy Cat which I do prefer as its a Sparkley nude. These new glosses claim to last 6 hours but I'm not seeing the evidence of that having tried them out but they are nice to apply aren't at all tacky.

I'm loving eyeshadow sticks at the moment, the Kiko long lasting eyeshadow stick was another makeup product in my box. I received the shade 07 and it's beautiful for smudging underneath the eye to add a bit of golden sparkle to any look.

The last makeup product was the Model co lip and cheek product in the shade peachy, which I haven't opened as its too similar to a couple other products I have open already. The perfume sample that everyone received in their box was Ellie Saab which is a lovely and fresh scent for spring.

Their is two types of masks in the Glamour edit box, one for hair and the other for face. I already have two of the Nuxe 24hr soothing and rehydrating masks that I received in other beauty boxes so have kept them as new to use in future giveaways. The hair product is from the fab brand Moroccan Oil, it's an intense hydrating hair mask which my hair definately needs in this ever changing weather.

So an amazing box, I would definitely order from Latest in Beauty again in the future.
