January Favourites!

Its time for January favourites and I have rather a few favorites this month, mainly focusing on eyeshadows. I have been loving so many beauty products and trying lots of new items.

Elnett: I have been having so many problems with my hair lately that I had to try to find alternative hair products. I have fine curly damaged hair an if I put the wrong products in my hair it really affects it. So instead of a regular cheaper version hairspray I have been trying the Elnett hairspray as this brushes out easy when my hair is curly. So far so good but doesn't give me any decent volume.

Nyx HD studio finishing powder & primer base: this combo has been working really well on my oily skin this past few months. Only problem being is my finishing powder is nearing the end and as Next store by me have stopped stocking Nyx Cosmetics I need to find an alternative quickly. Please put in the comments if you know of anything good for oily skin to try. Would also love a good brightening under eye setting powder.

Loreal Skin Perfector: this loreal skin correcting day Moisturer has been lovely and has helped the feel of my skin to prep before makeup application. I have also been using the serum that goes with this which feels lovely but not sure what it's actually doing for my skin!

Collection lasting perfection concealer: this has been my life saver and number one product for me. I have very pale skin so shade 1 is perfect. Having extremely dark circles under my eyes and uneven skintone this has really helped  to cover up and stays put amazingly on my oily skin.

Vaseline lip therapy: i have recently gone back to using my Vaseline lip tubs, mostly the cocoa butter scent. I have been putting this on my lips before bed has really helped the condition of my lips. Along side using the Lush lip scrub in Bubblegum aswell which is amazing.

The Balm cosmetics Mary-Lou Manizer: new to my in January as I purchased with my Birchbox points. I was excited to try this as I had heard so many youtubers talk about it. It certainly is very pigmented an lovely as an eyeshadow as well as a highlighter.

Nyx blusher in Pinched: when I first used this blusher I wasn't keen on it so it was left sitting in my draw for a while after purchased. Then I heard it was a dupe for the Nars Orgasm so got it back out again. Using it with a lighter hand has helped me fall in love with it and with me being so pale i need colour to my face or I don't look well. Pinched has been used a lot in January along with a similar Sleek blusher in my face form palette.

Eyeshadow palettes: i have been loving eyeshadow palettes for a while now but recently have been using Smashbox on the rocks and my Too Faced Chocolate Bar palettes. Especially the golden/bronze shades.

Loreal eyeshadow quad & Laura Mercier: two more eyeshadow products that I have used ALOT have been my loreal quad in Smoky Infiniment Bronze E3 which has been my favourite and my old favourite Laura Mercier in Black Karat. The loreal quad is something totally different than anything I have, it has a strong copper colour which I have been really loving recently. Laura Mercier Black Karat was an eyeshadow I brought when I went to Harrods a couple of years ago and I always get people asking me what I'm wearing when I have this on. Love it.

Cream shadows: I'm obsessed with cream eyeshadows, they are perfect if I want to be quick and wear them alone or as a base for other shadows. I love the Maybelline Color tattoo and the Maxfactor Excess Shimmer.  Maxfactor is a more whipped consistency than the maybelline Color tattoo. I have heard two of the shades in Maxfactor are dupes for Tom Fords versions. They are Lush, which speaking of Lush I have been obsessed with bath bombs over the Winter aswell!

What are your favourite products at the moment? Please do let me no in the comments, I would love to hear any suggestions of new makeup products to look out for and try. Or if anybody has any suggestions for my oily skin or damaged hair :)
Speak soon. Karen x
